Eid – al – Fitr
In RE this week Mrs K came to speak to us about Eid - al - Fitr! She also made a traditional dish - Sheer Khurma for us to taste. Thank you Mrs K!
Hanukah
We know that Hanukah is a special time for Jews. During this occasion they eat latkes, so we made some of our own!

…we learnt all about how Fire Engines move. We made 2 different types of chassis and the voted for our preferred type!

Odd and Even Numbers
This week we have been exploring odd and even numbers!
We have been excellent sound detectives today.
We have been able to successfully guess the instrument being played as well as the pitch or tempo!
Control
In PE, we have been developing our understanding of 'control', and why is it important to keep the ball close to us. We have practised different ways of using our feet to move with a ball.
In reading, we recreated Mrs Armitage’s bike.
We did this by choosing something she added to her bike and then made it out of junk modelling!

In DT this half term we are designing and creating Fire Engines. This week we explored different ways to connect wheels to a chassis.

We know one way that Christians celebrate Christmas is to create a Christingle at Church.

We know mammals have hair or fur and give birth to live young!

After reading our new class text we worked together to recreate Mrs Armitage's bike. We used the book to choose something she added and tried to make it look just like she did!
We know lots of different types of transport – those in the air, on land and on water.

Our new topic in science this term is Animals and Humans. Today, we learnt all about mammals. We now know mammals have fur and give birth to live young.
