We know the Great Fire of London happened through primary sources, such as the diary of Samuel Pepys. We recreated our own diary entry, imagining we were there, drawing what we could see and how we felt.

We have been learning about working in our world. We have discussed how money is earned, types of payments/currency and different ways to pay for goods and services.
Time
To introduce our new topic 'time' we created number lines 1-12 and turned them into clock faces. We know there are 24 hrs in a day and 60 minutes in an hour!

We completed our 'Jan Griffier' style paintings by adding charcoal buildings to our fiery backgrounds.

We had a combination jumping competition this week for distance and speed. We encouraged our team and used self discipline to compete with dignity.

The parts of a seed
We explored the parts of seed and dissected some to see the seed coat, food store and embryo. We planted our own seeds to see how they will grow too!
Fiery Backgrounds!
We continued our work on Jan Griffier's art. This week we looked at creating our own fiery backgrounds. We used red, yellow and orange paint with sponges to create our backgrounds.
Lives of Significant people of faith – The Buddha
This week we focused on the Buddhist religion. We learnt all about the life of The Buddha. We worked in pairs to act out the story!
