We used number facts to subtract a single digit number from a two-digit number.

We added movement to make our routines flow. We used our whole bodies to show how we explored an island and what we discovered there!
Ball Skills, Hands 1, L2
We practiced keeping control of the ball whilst dribbling and started working on our chest passing skills. We know to push the ball straightaway from our bodies whilst stepping into the pass.

We learnt that the Earth is made of 70% water.
The water is split into 5 oceans. We named and labelled these on the world map.
We discussed ways we can be kind to each other and how to help others.
We have been adding and subtracting one, to and from two-digit numbers.
In our recorder lesson we continued our practice of notes A and B.
We can't wait to learn a new note next week!
Anti-Bullying week
As part of Anti-Bullying week, we discussed how saying mean things can hurt people and the qualities we look for in a friend.

We created movements to show our journey to the new planet. We then made new movements and used facial expressions to show our first reactions to our surroundings.
Materials
Continuing with our topic, we looked at which materials can be altered. Using the actions bend, stretch, twist and squash we tested different materials.

We practised dribbling the ball using one hand whilst keeping control. We collaborated and took turns with our house teams to get the ball safely around the space.
