We focus on collaboration and communication, and how to create simple attacking and defending tactics.
Mental addition and subtraction
We used numberlines to jump to the closest ten. This helped us to find the difference effectively.

We used drama to show the different tactics and formations used by Roman soldiers. We looked at what a century is, catapults, battering rams and testudos.

Roman Empire weapons
We explored what a javelin, sword and shield was. We know facts about these weapons and applied this to create our own. The javelins are taller than us!

We have discussed what military weapons romans had and how the have impacted future conflicts. We then tried to create our own scale models of Roman swords, javelins and shields.

Today we explored the foods eaten by the Romans. We looked at different groups of people and considered what they would eat, before creating a place for this person.
Roman Villas
On 20th November, we learnt about Roman Villas. We discussed what a villa was like and which inventions still have an impact on our homes today. We then created floor plans for our own Roman Villas.
