Where to begin? The incomparable Marie has hung her apron up after an astonishing 39 year Birkwood Career! Marie has worked in our Kitchen for 37 of these years. What an incredible servant to Birkwood! We captured her last serving here, quite the moment in history! Marie’s daughters are still involved with Birkwood in our cleaning department and both of her Grandchildren have graduated through our school. Of course, we are hosting an official ‘Goodbye’ to Marie – we couldn’t let the last day on the rota go without wishing her the happiest retirement possible and of course by saying ‘Thank You!’ An amazing effort.
