We learnt that we need a mix of carbohydrate, protein and vegetables for a balanced meal. Our home-made pizzas have grain, cheese and tomatoes. 
We applied this by selecting the correct ingredients and using kneading techniques to create our pizzas. Knife skills included bridge and claw to correctly and safely chop and cut the mushrooms and tomatoes. We tore the mozzarella and grated the cheese.

We know that our tomatoes were grown in Belgium, our cheese is from British milk, our yeast came Welwyn Garden City and the flour was British. There was little to no processing involved as we made the bases ourselves from fine Italian flour and fast acting yeast. We loved hand stretching the bases and creating the toppings of our choice!
They smelled and tasted incredible!
