We began the session by collaboratively creating our own set of rules for future P4C lessons. After that, we held a vote on whether we would rather be a ‘Cowardly Lion’ or a ‘Brave Mouse,’ leading to a thoughtful discussion where we used sentence stems like “I agree” and “I disagree” to share our perspectives. We enjoyed our stimulus, For The Birds, and engaged in a lively discussion about the clip. We explored what we believed the central message or ‘big idea’ of the video might be, sharing our thoughts and insights with one another.
