The Year 3 Butterflies did some deep thinking about truth and lies in their P4C session this week. Using the story of Pinocchio as a stimulus we worked collaboratively and carefully to answer some deep and difficult questions. Can you have a mind without a brain? Is Pinocchio really a boy? If Pinocchio says, ‘my nose will grow!’ what will happen? If Pinocchio doesn’t know what he means because he is a puppet, can what he says be a lie?
