Barnsley Music Education Hub website now has new features which we really hope will support schools. As well as a new Online Learning section that was developed last term, we have also been working hard to reduce the amount of printed paper resources that we use, therefore we have included the following documents online:

·         Pupil Practice Diary

·         Pupil Handbook (Lots of information about how lessons work)

·         New Starter Form (Pink Form)

Here is The link to these documents:

Believe in your selfie

Our Focus 4 in FS2 have had a super ‘Believe in your selfie’ week! They have developed their imaginations and enjoyed acting out and telling their own stories. They even put on their very own Superhero show! The children really enjoyed bringing in signs of Autumn and we went on a special walk to find Autumn treasure, we even jumped in some muddy puddles! They have had so much fun!

Believe in your Selfie

Our ‘focus 4’ in FS2 have had a super ‘Believe in your selfie’ week! They have shared their interests, passions and have led to some amazing learning! We have had class races where the children received rosettes, team exercise classes where the children had to sign up by writing their names, fact finding all about larvae and much, much more!  All of the staff have been so proud of how engaged they have been.  Take a look at some of the things they have been doing 🙂

Land Ahoy!

The Sunflowers and Daffodils have been creating their own telescopes so that they can be real pirates and go on a treasure hunt! They carefully selected and cut their materials and thought about different ways of joining them together.

‘Wow said the Owl’

The Sunflowers and Daffodils have been extremely lucky to be chosen to take part in an art project that will be displayed at the Cooper gallery. Look how busy they are working with the special artists! We cant wait to visit the gallery!

Amazing Data handling!

Look how clever the children are in FS2 at collecting and recording data. They chose their own sandwich fillings and recorded it on a chart. They then worked out how many cheese, jam and ham sandwiches we needed to make for Captain Beastlie’s Birthday Party.

Let’s go shopping!

The Sunflowers had a wonderful time visiting their local shop. They learnt all about managing money when spending 50p wisely. They used lovely manners when at the till. Look at their delicious treats.

A special delivery

We had a special delivery in FS2, a letter and treasure chest from Captain Beastlie himself! He asked us to explore his coins, we are now super at recognising different coins and matching them to amounts.

We are healthy!

The children have been learning all about unhealthy and healthy foods. They can talk about good food choices and which food they should only eat a little bit of. They enjoyed making their own healthy fruit kebabs and even tried new fruits like lychees, blueberries and grapefruit.

Watch me grow!

The Sunflowers and Daffodils loved having the chicks in the Foundation Stage Unit. They were amazed by the life cycle of a hen and thought it was magical when the eggs hatched! All of the children were fantastic at looking after the chicks. We are so kind and caring in FS2!

Reading Morning

The Sunflowers and Daffodils enjoyed a gorgeous reading morning with their special grown ups! They shared books and enjoyed a drink with a slice of toast. What a special morning!

Yummy yummy yummy!

The Sunflowers and Daffodils are definitely in the celebrating spirit. We have been learning different ways that people celebrate bonfire night. We think making chocolate apples is the best way to celebrate. Do you agree?
