The Foxes really enjoyed their trip to see Father David at St John’s Parish Church this week. He told us all about The Easter Story and let us look around our village’s beautiful church.
Our Councillors were treated to a wonderful day out in London. They enjoyed a spectacular trip on the London Eye and an all-access tour of the House of Lords and House of Commons. It truly was a memorable, informative and enjoyable day. Father David was an amazing tour guide- he also treated everyone to a well-earned ice cream on the South Bank. Our children received praise from members of the public too. Thank you for taking us to London Mrs Allen.
The Hedgehogs explored the question ‘Why are some places special?’ by learning about The Golden Temple.
We shared the life story of Maya Angelou. The discrimination and racism she endured shocked us – we discussed racism in history and in the present day.
The Jaguars discussed a number of scenarios using their understand of Buddhism’s Four Noble Truths.
Our Councillors enjoyed a lovely morning at the Town Hall as guests of Barnsley’s Mayor, Councillor Pauline Markham. Mrs Allen and Mrs Sutton really enjoyed it too.
The Daisies have worked so hard to learn their new Harvest time rhymes. We practised every single day for our celebration with our special grown ups. Thank you for all your support #incrediblecommunity.
Here’s a message for our friend in Uganda. With much love at Christmas.
The Daisies have met the man himself….. Father Christmas! They were so excited and happy to receive their very special presents. Thank you for being such superstars!
The Daisies have had so much fun at our Christmas party. The Morning and Afternoon children met for the very first time! We are so proud of how friendly and kind our children are to each other. Some very special friendships were formed and they even made their own party hats! We played so many party games including musical bumps, musical statues … but our favourite was pass the parcel! Thank you to our wonderfulcommunity for the amazing party food donations.
The Sunflowers and Daffodils are definitely in the Christmas spirit. We even have little elves who are helping Santa! We are so kind in FS2.
Look at the amazing learning that is taking place in our Christmas learning areas. The children have been learning the story of the Nativity and are so good at retelling it! They havealso been writing letters to Santa and posting them. They have been developing their speaking and listening skills by acting out Christmas stories and are ready for Christmas day!
